Stephen, reading Tim Blair will corrupt your soul. Keep away from the politics and concentrate on the economics. It makes for a much better blog.

I had well developed neo-con sympathies when Tim was still a student leftie, so the chances of him corrupting me are pretty slim.
Fear not, this blog will always be primarily devoted to economics and markets.
